It Could Happen to Youはこんな曲

  • 1944年の映画『そして天使は歌う』の主題歌として誕生。映画公開後から多くのミュージシャンに取り上げられ、とりわけジョー・スタッフォードのバージョンがヒットした。
  • 歌詞では「つまづく」「転げ落ちる」といった言葉を使いながら、恋に落ちていくことを比喩的に描く。
  • 明るく軽快に演奏されることが多いが、バラードにも馴染む。
  • デクスター・ゴードン(ts)はこの曲のコード・チェンジを借りて、「フライド・バナナズ（動画）」を書いた。
